Dave's TOP PICK for the Final Days of the Sale

FREEMARK ABBEY 2000 Napa Valley CABERNET SAUVIGNON

VINTAGE-CHANGE OFFER!! 50% off suggested retail!
(LISTED at $34 retail in both the Wine Spectator AND the Wine Enthusiast)

90 point rated in the Wine Enthusiast!!

Great Wine! The Wine Enthusiast says: "This distinguished Cabernet shows its pedigree with its ripely sweet blackcurrant and cassis flavors and lovely tannins. The wine caresses the palate, now gentle and soft, now firm. It thins down for a moment in the middle, courtesy of the vintage, and then returns to impress with the long, spicy finish.
$34 retail. 90 points." - Wine Enthusiast 5/04

Cellar-worthy! The Wine Spectator says: "A little time in the bottle should work to its advantage. Best from 2004 through 2010. $34 retail." - Wine Spectator 10/03

Current Vintage! DAVE says: This winery was part of the Robert Mondavi portfolio, along with Byron and Arrowood, and the recent buyout of Mondavi has obviously affected some of this winery's business decisions. Freemark Abbey has a reputation for long-lived Napa Cabernet and for later-than-most release dates for their vintages. The 2000 Napa vintage is their current vintage; but obviously they want to move through it quickly. Let's take advantage!

VERY LIMITED - ONLY a couple cases left at this pricing!

Last of Bin SALE Price: $16.99 per bottle!

A note about prices: whenever possible, the "retail" prices listed are taken from reviews in The Wine Spectator, Robert Parker or Wine Enthusiast; and do not necessarily reflect previous BrightWines pricing. In some cases the "retail" price is indeed the previous BrightWines "regular" price, but ALL of the prices in the Last of Bin column are the LOWEST PRICES EVER OFFERED by BrightWines for those particular items. As many of you know, BrightWines pricing if often below typical "retail" prices and therefore "sale" prices are difficult to compare with other retailers. For that reason, I find the major wine publications provide a fair yardstick. The most important thing is the bottom line: how good is the wine, and what does it cost?

FOR BEST PRINTING: CHOOSE "LANDSCAPE" in your printer options.
